Acey Slade
Acey Slade is a New York City based rock n’ roller who stated his journey with the band Dope. Their debut album ‘Felons and Revolutionaries’ was produced by John Travis (Social Distortion, No Doubt, Kid Rock, Suicide Silence) and has approached Gold Status. After the follow up to Dopes debut album, Acey became a member of the Murderdolls (with Joey Jordison of Slipknot). The Murderdolls toured incessantly and gained a rabid international following with their unique style of punky, trashy, rock n’ roll.
In 2004 Acey and Joey worked on the Road Runner United album together for the track ’Tired and Lonely’. With the Murderdolls on hold, Acey worked on 2 solo bands. Trashlight Vision and Acey Slade and the Dark Party. Around this time he was also animated as 2 characters in the video game RockBand which went on to sell 8 Million copies.
By 2010 the Murderdolls had reformed, but Acey was now committed to tours with legendary punk icon Joan Jett and the Blackhearts who had touring plans around the globe with the Foo Fighters, TV appearances on David Letterman, Jay Leno and even performed on Oprah with Miley Cyrus.
In 2015 he was a member of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts when they were inducted to the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame. In 2016 Acey rejoined Dope on bass but also handle 2nd guitars for the reunited Misfits. Dope has since tapped into an international fan base it hadn’t before seen and the Misfits are selling out arenas such as The Forum in Los Angles and Madison Square Garden in New York.
